Bragg, NC. Shall perform a wide range of maintenance, repair, sustainment and other logistic support tasks, providing high-level technical support and customer service at a level that cannot be rendered by the basic field/customer service engineer. Will maintain SOF-p and foreign weapons, SOF-p weapons accessories, and other SOF-p equipment. Will be the professional shop-front/interface with whom users will report issues and concerns; however, but also will be the skilled repairmen who will troubleshoot and perform the necessary weapon maintenance and repairs. Simultaneously, individual may be called upon to perform some duties which are similar to and in support of those of Army LARs (i.e. coordination and logistic support functions). In addition, individual shall provide training on a variety of sustainment and maintenance functions for SOF-p weapons. Basic Qualifications: - Have at least one year experience sustaining/ repairing SOF-p and foreign weapons and accessories in order to be considered proficient. - Possess skills equal to or greater than Army MOS-91 F personnel. - Possess an extensive knowledge and thorough understanding of all steps in the functioning of supported weapons. - Possess knowledge/understanding of AR 750-1, AR 700-4, and DA PAM 750-8 and other applicable maintenance - Be technically knowledgeable of assigned material, Army field maintenance organizations and operations, and the nation and retail supply system. - Be able to work independently, with little or no supervision. - Have skills and professional experience sufficient to be considered the approximate equivalent of a General Schedule (GS) Grade 10 or Grade 11 Government employee (depending on qualifications). Desired Skills: - Have at least 3 years experience sustaining/ repairing SOF-p and foreign weapons and accessories in order to be considered expert (preferred). - Proficiency in other/additional Microsoft Office applications is preferred. - Proficiency (preferred) with Standard Army Maintenance System (SAMS-E)/Enhanced (SAMS-E), The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS), and the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A). - Have completed the USASOC SOF-p Weapons Repair Course (previously called the Joint Armorer Course) (preferred).
