In this position

  • As a Technical Product Manager in the platform modernization engineering team, you will define, execute, and operationalize cross-functional software initiatives that deliver business, customer, or technical outcomes.
  • You will be partnering with key stakeholders from multiple disciplines to align resources in service of the desired outcomes.
  • You will help develop program strategies, functional and technical requirements, resourcing plans, and technical roadmaps.
  • Responsibilities

    What you'll do

  • Partner with Product Manager to ensure alignment of the product line vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Collaborate with global teams for global feature development and releases
  • Facilitate Daily Standups, Iteration Planning Meetings, Retrospectives, and Story Acceptance sessions
  • Manage and prioritize a backlog of User Stories for the Product Team
  • Identify exciting opportunities for adopting new concepts to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges
  • Works with the development team to ensure that product requirements are understood
  • Manages technical dependencies and work through technical roadblocks
  • Triages an incident and manages involving right technical teams for resolution
  • Responsible for Access Management - APS/ FIM groups/Proxy Ids
  • Qualifications

    You'll have

  • 5+ years of full stack software engineering experience (web applications, cloud technologies, microservices architecture etc.)
  • Experience developing products using extreme agile/ pair/mobbed programming in a test-driven development (TDD).
  • Experience using advanced software configuration management (source control, DevOps, continuous integration/continuous deployment, etc.)
  • Experience with software operations (Site Reliability Engineering, Observability, Support, and maintenance)
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile practices (SAFE, Scrum, Kanban etc.)
  • Experience in Rally/JIRA.
  • Understand technical trends and impact to strategic roadmap.
  • Ability to balance technical feasibility, with Business Viability, and User Desirability when defining Features and User Stories in the Product Backlog
  • Demonstrates a strategic understanding of the timing and rationale for design choices for a capability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in communicating with both business and technical teams.
  • Ability to coordinate and establish trust and positive relationships across teams.
  • Willing to work on a highly collaborative team fulfilling different roles and fill gaps
  • Proactive attitude, self-starter and not afraid to ask questions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to perform tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment.
  • Exposure to applying concepts of Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and become productive in new concepts quickly
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field, or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • Tools & Technology skillset:

  • Postman, Swagger
  • CI/CD
  • PCF /GCP/ AWS
  • Innate knowledge about infrastructure landscape
  • SQL or database queries
  • Monitoring tools such as Splunk & Dynatrace
  • APIC/APIGEE
  • Understanding of security tools & compliance
  • Even better, you may have
  • Knowledge of Ford Credit systems and processes
  • Prior project management experience
