Your Role and Responsibilities

Job Location: Austin, TX (Preferred)

The individual will be responsible for the remote execution of hardware bringup and hardware verification automation, to provide action plans to on site teams for hardware repair, and to engage with and contribute to software development teams for automation advancement. This remote execution will include all aspects of hardware bringup, test, delivery, update and repair of hardware in our Infrastructure-as-a-Service (Iaas) Virtual Private Cloud NextGen (VPCNG) datacenters worldwide. This includes running all initial bringup steps, as well as configuration checks to ensure the racks and servers were built correctly and that all expected components are recognized. It also includes performing stress testing of CPU, GPU, memory, storage, network.

The individual will execute automation code from the linux command line to bringup and test the systems, analyze the command line results and logs, provide action plans to datacenter on site personnel, and assist with debug of new automation code. We are looking for an individual who has strong linux and software skills who is very interested to learn server and rack hardware in depth, and help us accelerate the usage of our latest automation code.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience in Linux; capability to run scripts and programs from the command line
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming
  • Experience in github and in JIRA or similar ticketing systems
  • Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with python programming
  • Experience with Redfish and/or other RESTful APIs
  • Experience in networking (layer2, ARP, DHCP) and familiarity with network switch configuration
