The IBM Watson Advertising Strategic Partner Lead, Integrated Accounts is responsible for working directly with Watson Advertising's most strategic partners to drive demand and sales for media, data and technology solutions across brands, agencies and clients in the ecosystem. The ideal Strategic Partner Lead will be comfortable selling and managing complex AI-driven media campaigns and will focus on partnerships within our Retail, Restaurant and Automotive verticals. Excitement and curiosity of AI, Cognitive, Data and Ad- Tech solutions is a must-have and the ideal seller should welcome continued learning and discovery. The ideal candidate will possess a consultative sales approach and be ready to educate senior level clients and agencies around new and emerging technologies in the media landscape.

The Strategic Partner Lead is the 'tip of the spear' for all client strategy and engagement; while working as a team player within Watson Advertising to exceed annual goals. You will also be responsible for new business and for maintaining and growing existing clients. The Strategic Partner Lead is also expected to partner, as lead or support, with other teams across IBM to maximize overall value and impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with our largest clients and prospects
  • Create and maintain trust with marketing decision makers through consultative selling approac
  • Manage customer/client relationships through full sales cycle revenue
  • Lead account planning, relationship mapping, pipeline development and revenue forecasting for your book of business
  • Work with all available sources to identify potential customers
  • Work collaboratively with internal cross functional teams to develop client solutions and proposals that drive results
  • Manage expenses responsibly
  • Provide excellent customer service and steward internal resources to meet client needs

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Excitement & curiosity of AI and cognitive solutions is a must-have and you should welcome continued learning and discovery.
  • At least 5 years Outside Media / Data / Technology Sales experience.
  • Consultative Sales experience.
  • Possess a lengthy list of appropriate contacts at all agency and client levels.
  • Full sales cycle experience (from prospecting through account maintenance).
  • Proposal writing experience.
  • Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Advertising Agency background and experience.
  • Network or Ad Tech Platform experience.
  • Collaborative abilities to work with internal production teams.
  • Proficiency & experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans.
  • Experience within the Retail and Restaurant categories.

    Other Relevant Job Details

    Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law.

    The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job- related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.

    This position is eligible for participation in an IBM Sales Incentive plan. Actual incentive opportunity will be based on performance and the eligible Target Incentive, as addressed in the applicable plan, all of which is subject to change. The compensation range listed for this position is the IBM Reference Salary that is used when you are not actively participating in a sales plan. Your actual base pay plus incentive opportunity will be determined by the Incentive Plan assigned to you.
