The Ford Purchasing team adds critical value to the entire organization. You'll help us source the highest quality parts and services from around the globe while ensuring optimal cost and on-time delivery. You'll also contribute to establishing a robust supply chain so that we can continually produce the vehicles our customers want.

In this position

  • Develop and implement category strategies for speaker and amplifier commodities to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiations to secure competitive pricing and terms.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Responsibilities

    What you'll do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide sourcing solutions that align with business goals.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and relevant material indices to identify opportunities for cost savings and product improvements.
  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators, such as cost savings, supplier quality, supplier resiliency, and supplier delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sourcing activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance overall procurement efficiency.
  • Qualifications

    You'll have.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, preferably within the electronics industry.
  • Even better, you may have

  • Master's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
  • Knowledge of sourcing best practices and industry trends.
  • Strong communication skills that can effectively transition from bottoms- up details to concise, clear executive-level messaging.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and resourceful; comfortable with navigating ambiguity.
  • Resourceful and motivated to find and implement solutions.
