About the team:
Core Technology at Parity is the driving force behind the creation of the
technology needed to build Polkadot, Core Tech is made up of more than 150
technologists who are based all over the world, the organisation consists of
multiple teams working on the different components of the platform, Substrate.
About the position:
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to join our team to work with the
Director of Engineering on highly varied, pivotal and mission cross-
departmental projects and complex communication processes.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Director of Engineering to manage cross-departmental
projects, including developing project plans and executing projects
working close to the engineering leads and PMs
Act as a liaison between the engineering team and other departments,
facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on project goals
Develop effective processes that supports the departments in scaling
Assist the Director of Engineering in carrying out strategic projects
Identify and mitigate risks associated with program activities
About you:
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of software development,
(perhaps gained from an engineering background) and preferably will have
some experience in and knowledge of blockchain technology, however this is
not mandatory.
At least 5 years of experience in program management.
Particularly strong organisational and communication skills
Ability to drive effective communication and effective work with cross-
functional and inter departmental or organisational teams
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrable ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
