The Ford Credit Technology Software organization creates digital software products for dealers and customers to support Ford Credit's strategic goal to be the reason customers choose and stay with Ford.

The Engineering Manager - Web platform (Adobe technologies) will lead the development of a new digital platform to enable all Ford credit products.

  • Design the future state digital web platform architecture around AEM, Target, Launch, and other Adobe technologies
  • Drive education on AEM be an SME on all things related to the design and development of reusable content and components across the various digital experiences
  • Engage with other collaborators teams across Ford Credit, Ford Pro, and Ford Motor Company to drive the adoption of the digital platform

  • Demonstrates exceptional technical ability in the creation of software, and hands-on keyboard, through proof of concepts and spikes with teams.
  • Partner across functions, building relationships that allow you to influence the strategy, plans, and work to improve customer value through service, experience, availability, quality, and cost.
  • Be an active participant in reviewing, evaluating, and providing feedback on product designs and architectures with an engineering focus.
  • Apply advanced concepts, theories and principles to create multi- disciplinary innovations and solutions for the most complex or risky business situations.
  • Communicate performance and plans that require identifying and evaluating trade-offs within or across functions.
  • Provide thought leadership and perspective across multiple organizations to eliminate knowledge silos.
  • Evangelize secure coding practices and security system fundamentals across multiple organizations.
  • Guide engineering and product teams on observability practices to guarantee meeting KPIs.
  • Develop and socialize new engineering principles and practices fit for the purpose for the organization.
  • Evaluating and recommending new and emerging products and technologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement and create a learning organization.
  • Required Skills:

    Functional Technical Skills

  • Proven experience with AEM (Sites, Assets, Adobe Launch, Adobe Target, Audience manager)
  • Should have worked on delivering large complex digital systems (transactional non-transactional) that used traditional and headless AEM architectural patterns driving personalized and targeted digital experiences.
  • Extensive experience working on cloud and digital platforms (GCP preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the development of highly technical services and capabilities.
  • Experience with Lean and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, designers, and product owners.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive highly available customer-ready digital products.
  • Ability to build new APIs reuse existing APIs as needed.
  • Ability to deliver front-end digital experiences.
  • Leadership skills

  • Must be able to think and act strategically, without constraints
  • Must be able to operationalize and assist teams with abstract technology concepts
  • Strong communication, collaborative, and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership

  • Required Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
  • 8+ years of technology experience, with at least 3-5 years of experience leading and managing software engineering
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with full stack software technologies such as AEM, graph-ql, JavaScript, React or other JavaScript frameworks, Java, Kotlin, etc. and cloud platforms like GCP, Azure or AWS
  • Adobe AEM certifications are beneficial to the role
  • Experience leading teams of 5 to 15 people
