Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and articulates complex technical concepts into business context by breaking down relevant processes, products, services, and systems. You will provide a Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to help stakeholders make informed decisions for improving and advancing technologies. You will also examine and evaluate ASSIST's existing business processes to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for efficiency gains, modernization, and automation to streamline processes while utilizing tools such as Copilot to support removal of technical debt. Leverages the FAS-IT Playbook and ASSIST guidelines. You will gather functional requirements, analyze, and propose existing solutions or recommends custom solutions that meet GSA's business needs. You will define and implement ASSIST development standards, guidelines, procedures, protocols, and enhancements and aligns them with GSA's business goals. You will collaborate with product owners to understand the project's mission, analyze tasks, create a backlog of tasks, document business flows, author material, and support user outreach.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 8+ years of experience supporting evolving business needs and agility
  • 8+ years of experience in providing Business Impact Analysis
  • 6+ years of experience in the entire software development lifecycle and able to grasp the nuances of user interactions, requirements, and needs at each stage
  • 5 years of experience in defining and implementing development standards, guidelines, procedures, and protocols
  • 5 years of experience providing technical governance and continuous technological improvements
  • Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Ability to obtain HSPD-12 suitability
  • Practical knowledge applying Agile SAFe framework and methodology, to include the HIP sprint
  • Working knowledge of NIST 800, EOs, and Zero-Trust cybersecurity policies
  • Required Education

    Bachelor's Degree
