Lockheed Martin Space in Ft Belvoir, Virginia is seeking a Satellite Systems Engineering intern to join our team. In this role you will support a 24/7 satellite operations crew or direct support day staff position within Flight Operations. We will train you through an extensive education and certification program to utilize your current engineering skills in support of an important customer mission.
Ability to obtain TS/SCI and complete a CI Poly is required for this role. Basic Qualifications: Student enrolled in a Bachelor's or above Degree program in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines.
This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen. Desired Skills: Experience working with on-orbit spacecraft, satellite flight, or ground system operations Proficiency in at least one of the following: TOPL, MATLAB, JAVA, C++, PERL, ORACLE/SQL, HTML, XML, LINUX, Python, JAVA Script Juniper or Cisco networking systems
Current Security+ certification
Astrodynamics and orbital mechanics including classical orbital (Keplerian) elements
