As a Sales Representative (Digital), also called Digital Sales Specialist, you will become a trusted go-to expert and lead prospective clients towards industry leading solutions. Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues across the Sales team - advising and supporting on client engagements throughout the critically important early phases of the sales cycle, and helping to lead prospects to our IBM solutions.

A 'Day-in-the Life' of a Sales Representative (Digital) may include, but not be limited to:

  • Understanding your prospective clients' buying cycles to accurately predict the potential and timings of deal closures - clearly communicating your forecasts with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Supporting your squad of Business Development, Marketing and Technical colleagues ('IBMers') to identify and create up- /cross-sell opportunities within your assigned territory.
  • Working with IBM Marketing and Sales leadership to activate targeted new business campaigns.
  • Collaborating with your squad to design use-cases and proofs of concept in response to prospective clients' requests for information (RFIs).
  • Co-creating and presenting on high-level, value propositions for clients - successfully landing product features, functionality and solutions in a way that's highly compelling.
  • You may work with any of the following technologies: Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cloud and Cognitive, Internet of Things, Security, or Systems Hardware.

    Opportunities are available in: Atlanta GA and Dallas TX area.

    Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • B.S. or M.S. in M.I.S., Business/Communications with a STEM minor, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering.
  • Professional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated team collaboration and navigating different communication styles.
  • Readiness to travel up to 10% annually.
  • Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 1 year experience in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering concepts.
  • Programming coursework or experience a plus.
  • Prior work experience in client sales or service.
  • Note: Experience includes all settings, such as coursework, informal or side projects, internships and work experience, leading to a result or achievement.
