Job Description

In the position as a Product Development Analyst, you will be involved in our efforts in the development of sensors, ECUs, models, and software in the infotainment area. We are looking for an Engineer who are passionate about product quality and all the facets creating robust software. Our Product Development Analyst role will participate in the full life cycle of our validation process. The candidate can expect to be involved in the process of creating test cases from our requirements, supporting execution, converting tests to automation scripts, supporting failure analysis as well as to provide framework design recommendations. They will work alongside a team of skilled engineers to provide a robust automation solution our entire organization can leverage for current and future programs. The Analyst position will also be responsible for creating and tracking defects, assisting with the resolution and prevent reoccurrence actions for the defects uncovered.

Responsibilities

What You will do:

  • Develop Automated Test scripts to verify & validate Infotainment system's end-to-end functionalities.
  • Taking ownership of Daily/Weekly build Test Executions, perform failure analysis, creating defects, preparing reports and debug & triage automation issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to follow-up on defects and understand new features can be brought-in
  • Create common functions or APIs to support overall automation strategy and optimize & fine-tune framework algorithms for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Contribute to Ford's effort to modernize our approach to Validation and Data Analysis.
  • Utilize tools to improve test execution processes to ensure Product Quality goals are met.
  • Recommend solutions & improvements that would improve product qualities.
  • Provide technical support, training and on-site assistance to internal teams.
  • Use defect management tools for defect creation and monitoring of resolution.
  • Fully understand to apply Ford Standards and tools for pipeline development.
  • Follow code artisanship best practices, quality, and security standards; and contributes to the improvement of them.
  • Introduce new POCs which benefits to the Team across different programs.
  • Qualifications

    What you will bring:

    Minimum Requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience from Test Automation and Development of Automation framework for Automotive products
  • 3+ years of professional experience on Software/Requirements Verification projects (Test Suite and Automation solutions for multiple Verification/Validation scopes & integration levels).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience from Python AND/OR JAVA,
  • Hands-on experience with Automotive protocols and test experience from QNX & AOS based products.
  • Our Preferred Requirements:

  • Proven experience with various infotainment features - Audio, Tuner, SiriusXM, Projection, Bluetooth etc and experience in testing these features.
  • Advanced experience on Electrical Architecture, or Functional Architecture, or Software Architecture.
  • Effectively uses software configuration management (source control, DevSecOps, CI/CD, etc.).
  • Proven experience with: Python, Slash, Appium, Rest APIs, UI-Based test automation frameworks and Automotive tools.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming with good understanding in debugging.
  • Advanced experience on Electrical Architecture, or Functional Architecture, or Software Architecture.
  • Work effectively on an agile team following agile practices with Internal Test Automation Teams as well as with Tier I and Tier II (external suppliers).
  • Cloud technologies experience and AI/ML concepts are added advantage.
  • Experience with software operations (DevSecOps, Reliability Engineering, observability, support/maintenance, etc.).
  • Experience in secure coding practices and modern software development methodology, such as pair programming, test-first/test-driven development OR demonstrated delivery of singular focus programming.
  • Proficient with Automation tools. Understands and applies industry Software Quality Assurance standards (ASPICE, ISTQB, ASAM, INCOSE, etc.).
