Responsibilities

In this position

  • Lead ICE Propulsion and Thermal Systems Black Belt and Campaign Prevent Team.
  • Implement and teach deep, systematic problem-solving skills, rapid resolution of launch issues and design thinking practices.
  • What you'll do

    Statistical Application:

    Strong working knowledge of statistical tools and demonstration of their application to problem solving including: Experimental Design (DOE), Reliability Methods, Process Control, etc.

    Highly proficient in the use of 6-Sigma software/computer tools including Excel, Minitab, Alteryx, etc.

    Teaching Experience:

    Demonstrated teaching skills in a formal classroom environment including Black belt and Green Belt Training.

    Evidence of mentoring other in applying statistical tools.

    Business Strategy:

    Evidence of continued efforts to improve understanding of consumer expectations and how they translate to the product or process.

    Demonstrated knowledge of brand image and its relationship to product and/or process of home organization.

    High customer/consumer-focused perspective.

    Systems Thinking:

    Capable of functioning as a "change agent" for implementing organizational vision and behavior modifications.

    Capable of formulating innovative approaches and visualizing strategic options.

    Oral and Written Communication Skills:

    Delivered strategic/tactical presentations/discussions to Leadership Level 3 or higher management.

    Authored significant reports, design manuals, training documents, etc.

    Leadership

    Lead team of Black Belts and Campaign Prevent Specialists

    Lead resolution of complex launch and design issues

    Communication:

    Tactical and strategic communication of issues to Ford Leadership

    Teaching:

    Lead organization-wide enhancement of problem solving skills through teaching and practice

    Qualifications

    You'll have

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Certified Level 2 Master Blackbelt.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Master Black Belt.
  • 5+ years of experience in ICE applications.
  • Even better, you may have

  • Planned and executed significant problem-solving projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply statistical techniques to problem analysis and resolution.
  • Led team in significant problem-solving assignments and was responsible for long-term improvements.
