Where do you come into the picture?

At the core of Nium is a powerful platform, an extensive network and a portfolio of APIs, all of which combine to accelerate your growth as a global business.

We are on a journey to enable hyper-scale growth for our customers by providing an increasing number of APIs and capabilities to developers worldwide, in new and innovative ways.

As the Head of Documentation on the Experience product team, you will work closely with other executives and stakeholders to ensure that technical communication efforts are integrated with other business functions and contribute to the company's overall success. You will oversee all the communication efforts for Nium products, which may include not only technical documentation but also product marketing materials, customer support materials, and more. You will work closely with product teams, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all channels. You will create momentum and drive adoption of Nium's Open Platform by taking full ownership of the technical writing for Nium's Product Documentation and APIs.

You will make Nium's products easy to use and integrate by creating useful content for developers and everyday users. Our documentation must exemplify quality and instill trust. Nium cares deeply about customer experience, both for our users and engineering employees. Our products and internal tools require innovation and creativity to create excellent user experience and to increase developer velocity. We are looking for a leader with a strong sense of empathy, exceptional writing ability, and solid technical competence to provide an engaging customer experience. You'll drive the technical writing effort at Nium to enable our users and engineers to quickly ship reliable code, while minimizing cognitive overhead.

What you'll do:

As the Head of Documentation, you will:

  • Oversee all the technical communication efforts for Nium

  • Create the overall strategy for technical communication and ensure that it aligns with the company's goals and objectives

  • Manages budgets and resources for all technical communication efforts.
  • Hires and manages staff
  • Drive the overall effort to ensure that we have the highest quality documentation for our users
  • Document new products, features, and APIs

  • Document standards, guidelines, and best practices for engineers

  • Organize documentation and make it easily discoverable
  • Maintain content quality through curation and content performance analysis
  • Push Nium and the industry forward by dreaming up and implementing new ways to deliver, author, analyze, and interact with technical content
