In this position

The Global Brand Strategist will serve an important role in the rollout and execution of Ford's global brand strategy. This position will report to an LL5 Global Brand Strategy Manager and will have a heavy emphasis on project management, agency interactions, reporting and governance. This position supports the brand and all of its many expressions including naming, tone of voice, messaging and design. In doing so, this role will require interaction with many functions across Ford, such as regional marketing teams and global business units.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

  • Brand Strategy Framework - Supports Leadership and GBS team in the completion of the Ford Brand Strategy framework. Serves as an evangelist of the brand strategy and its application across various workstreams.
  • Brand Strategy Rollout & Implementation - Supports planning of a global brand strategy rollout; leads in the management and implementation of the rollout including event calendar, presentation/deck ownership and feedback management.
  • Corporate Website - Manages the day-to-day activities required to create a new corporate website; maintenance and metrics; leads agency relationship and interfaces with Ford IT and other digital product owners in the management of the site.
  • Brand Health Reporting - Distill monthly and quarterly reporting for both Ford and Lincoln brands; share learnings with all interested parties in a consistent forum.
  • Brand Intelligence - Support Leadership and work with agencies to consistently bring fresh thinking about brand relevancy. Includes acquiring case studies of mentor brands, competitive analysis, global and regional brand news.
  • Brand portfolio coordination - Host regular sharing sessions with Lincoln brand owners to drive consistency with process and output.
  • Qualifications

    You'll have

  • 5+ years experience in a marketing service organization with 5+ years in a brand management / marketing role
  • 2+ years leading a team of through brand or marketing projects
  • Effective communicator (both written and verbal) with the ability to seek out and build relationships with key stakeholders and critical resources
  • Experience working with agencies required
  • Experience managing web projects and properties desired
  • Experience working with global and multidisciplinary teams at Ford desired
  • Project Management Skills - The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Presentation Skills - Adept at building presentations for leadership review
  • Collaboration Skills - The ability to manage projects across multiple departments and partners
  • Data Management Skills - Know where to locate information within Ford, distill and present information to support project narrative
  • Agency Management - The ability to manage agency partners, track workstreams and budget
  • Resiliency - The ability to complete workstreams and handle critique
  • Learning Mindset - Shown interest in learning from other organizations, taking in new information from the automotive and other industries, and trends
