Your Role and Responsibilities

• Know The Partners: The Ecosystem Marketer's value lies in knowing the partners, the Distributors, the client and the market. Through working with IBM Channel Sales and their own partner interactions, Ecosystem Marketing engages with the Distributor & partners to drive demand for IBM Solutions, grow IBM mindshare within the ecosystem and bring the feedback from the ecosystem back to IBM.

• Know The IBM Solutions: All Ecosystem Marketers must know the IBM products and solutions aligned to their coverage area in order to drive a GTM strategy with the Ecosystem. This means understanding all the IBM Sales Plays (ISPs) and if they support a BU, a deeper understanding of the relevant Technology Plays, and Product Led Growth Offerings.

• Market with Partners: The Ecosystem Marketer is expected to collaborate with Channel Sales and Field marketing teams to influence the Distributor's marketing investments and land the marketing tactics with business partners to drive business results, leveraging Co-Marketing funding and other Demand Generation Programs (My DM)

• Develop a quarterly plan with the Distributor that encompasses the four strategic priorities: Demand Generation for Partners, Progressing opportunities in pipeline, Recruitment and activation of new Business Partners & Enablement to then track the performance of the campaigns in market.

• Drive utilization of VAD Co-Marketing programs to deliver YTY growth in Business Partner Opportunity Identification through Co-Marketing and enablement programs for the aligned partner set and/or strategic brands.

• Co-Marketing subject matter expert to educate and advise the Distributor on the rules, best practices, and requirements of the IBM Co-Marketing programs. Responsible for reviewing and approving the Marketing Activity Plan submitted by the Distributor in the Co-Marketing Center.

• Deliver on the business unit channel pipeline and revenue objectives both annually and quarterly - including readouts and reviews to executive worldwide and geo stakeholders.

• Advocate and Integrate business partners into IBM led marketing tactics and events

    The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job- related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.

    Introduction

    Overall, Ecosystem Marketing is the face of IBM Marketing to the Business Partners & Distributors- collectively working with Field Marketing and Channel Sales bringing the voice of the partner back into IBM. The Value-Added Distributor (VAD) Ecosystem Marketer is responsible for knowing the Ecosystem across all GTM motions (build, sell, service), the offerings and the market trends - what's important to whom and why and how IBM and the VAD together can uniquely drive the IBM business.

    The VAD Ecosystem Marketing Manager (EMM) is a role dedicated to providing direct marketing support to one of our largest Distributors. EMMs work closely with sales to drive demand for IBM products, solutions and services built on IBM technology and to increase mindshare of IBM within the Ecosystem.

    EMMs align Partner & Distributor marketing activities with sales targets, BU marketing objectives and work to always simplify and improve the partner experience with IBM. In addition, EMMs manage the pipeline created by VAD marketing initiatives, BP-led programs and co-marketing funded programs to ensure success of the activities put into market and to drive the business forward.
