Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience in design, characterization, and validation of consumer electronics, vehicle systems, input devices and/or HMI.
  • Experience in requirements development and transitioning ideas from sketches to reality.
  • Background in prototyping, full scale mockups and looks like/feels like demonstrations.
  • Strong analytical skills in regard to mechanical engineering theory.
  • Experience in leading engineering or technical teams in bringing a product to mass production.
  • Responsibilities

    Description and Responsibilities:

    As part of this team, you will be responsible for developing product layouts and technology concepts, particularly in the areas of electronics systems. This includes development of early prototypes and new technologies leading into scalable and cost-effective mass production.

    Display System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced display technologies into our vehicle, ensuring seamless performance and reliability.

    Mechanical Design: Create and review mechanical designs for displays, including enclosures, mounting solutions, and thermal management systems to elegantly balance cutting-edge performance and cost.

    Prototyping: Build and test display prototypes, iterating designs as needed to optimize performance and manufacturability.

    Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control processes for display integration, ensuring products meet the highest standards.

    Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, software developers, and other teams to achieve cohesive and integrated display solutions.

    Vendor Management: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source display components and oversee production processes.

    Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of designs, integration processes, and testing procedures.

    Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging display technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance product performance.

  • 8+ years of hands-on, detailed product design experience.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (any modeling package).
  • Basic GD&T knowledge and experience releasing 2D drawings.
  • Qualifications

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in ME
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on industry experience
