About the team:

The preferred location for this position is in or around Robinhood's offices in Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Lake Mary, FL, or Westlake, TX with in-office work capabilities, as may be required by management. Remote work in limited geographies within the U.S. may be considered.

The Financial Crimes Team at Robinhood works across a number of verticals in an effort to protect our customers and ensure compliance with all relevant Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions rules and regulations. As our team continues to evolve the program, we are passionate about using innovative thinking and technology to build a best-in-class Financial Crimes Program.

As a Director on the Financial Crimes team, you'll play a key strategic role in leading the firm's Anti-Money Laundering program and ensuring consistent execution to meet regulatory expectations.

What you'll do day-to-day:
  • Execute and continuously improve Robinhood's Enhanced Due Diligence compliance program, including policies, procedures, and training.
  • Stay current on regulatory developments, key enforcement actions, and industry trends while providing guidance and solutions for internal partners across Robinhood.
  • Assist with responses to regulatory exams and inquiries.
  • Assist in managing, mentoring, and strengthening team members and provide leadership and direction to the Enhanced Due Diligence team.
  • Partner with Engineering, Model Validation, Governance, Investigations, Surveillance and Sanctions to leverage technology and foster cross- functional partnerships.
  • Collaborate with key partners in each of the Robinhood businesses and shared services to improve the risk-based Customer Due Diligence Program.
  • About you:
  • 15+ years' experience in Compliance related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations, and regulatory / supervisory expectations.
  • Experience in reviews, investigation, and resolution of compliance related issues.
  • Possesses solid business acumen, curiosity, and ability to effectively shift between communications styles based on the audience.
  • Works well in collaborative environments with minimal formal structure, including working across multiple cultures, geographies, and all levels of company personnel.
  • Self-starter, flexible, innovative, and adaptive.
  • Analytical and problem solving techniques.
  • Good communication and organization skills.

  • Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands.
