We're looking for someone to lead our editorial voice, content strategy,
taxonomy design and information architecture across our portfolio of consumer-
facing applications. This means ensuring our content portfolio captures the
latest categories, trends and startups across the entire landscape of digital
and e-commerce. This is a multi-faceted role spanning content strategy, UX /
information architecture, AI prompt engineering, e-commerce marketing and
community management.
Here's the skinny on us - we're a small team of egoless tech leaders working
collaboratively to build services that solve everyday consumer problems at
scale. We utilize AI, crowdsourcing and blockchain to solve data problems at
scale. With 70 employees worldwide, you'll be joining us at our new state-of-
the-art headquarters in West LA where we can do our best work, including new
content production and design studios. We operate as an equity partnership,
offering outsize compensation packages through profit-sharing to our
employees. We believe strongly in aligned incentives as the vehicle for
boosting team performance.
What you'll do
Your primary mission will be to ensure we have broad and deep coverage
across the universe of digital commerce entities, including startups,
e-commerce players, products, software, blockchains, and AI services.
You'll define our strategy and KPIs for achieving this coverage with an
eye towards ensuring positive user experience, search intent matching and
SEO performance across our network of consumer-facing apps.
The role will have an information architecture and UX design component to
it whereby you will be designing our taxonomy structure and content
metadata tagging system to achieve our product and user experience goals.
You'll collaborate closely with our product, design and engineering teams
to implement your information strategy.
The role will also have a content strategy and SEO component in which
you'll be assessing search metrics and search behavior to ensure our
information architecture and metadata aligns with what consumers are
looking for, driving organic search and rankings performance.
An emerging facet to this role is our adoption of AI and ChatGPT as a
content research and semantic ideation tool. If not already versed in
prompt engineering you will be expected to ladder up your knowledge and
adapt your information architecture and content workflows to incorporate
AI as a native building block.
You will build and lead editorial and content teams to operationalize your
information strategy, ensuring we have comprehensive and accurate coverage
of emerging and legacy digital commerce entities.
About you
4+ years experience in an information architecture, taxonomy design,
e-commerce content management, SEO, content strategy, or relevant UX role.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, HCI, Information
Science, UX Design or similar field is a plus.
Experience with managing e-commerce taxonomies and product catalogs,
matching content architecture against search intent, and building SEO
knowledge graph authority to drive rankings performance are strong pluses.
Experience with information architecture and UX information design.
Basic understanding of core e-commerce and digital marketing concepts
including email marketing, affiliate marketing, performance marketing, and
content marketing.
Desired: fluency with analytics, ability to create reports, dashboards,
event tracking in tools like Google Analytics, Metabase, VWO.
Experience with AI prompt engineering for content development, content
classification, semantic ideation is a strong plus.
Basic SEO knowledge and familiarity with tools including Google Search
Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs.
About the role
Based in our Headquarters in Santa Monica, CA.
Starting annual compensation: $110K to $170K, depending on LOE
Eligible for Partner Program with profit sharing
Stock options: 0.10% to 0.20% initial grant
