The Assistant Manager - Learning & Development (L&D) in an IT Company will be responsible for creating and implementing learning strategies and programs that align with the company's overall goals and objectives. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify training needs, develop training programs, and deliver them effectively to employees across various functions. The role requires someone who is passionate about continuous learning, has excellent communication skills, and is well-versed in the latest L&D techniques and technologies.
Responsibilities and deliverables:Program Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop comprehensive training programs that address those needs. This includes technical training, soft skills development, leadership development, and other relevant areas.
Content Creation: Create engaging and effective training materials, including e-learning modules, instructional guides, videos, presentations, and other learning resources. Ensure that the content is up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with industry best practices.
Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars either in person or through virtual platforms. Use a variety of instructional techniques to promote active learning and ensure maximum participant engagement.
Learning Management System (LMS): Manage the company's LMS, including course catalog management, user enrollment, tracking and reporting of training progress, and troubleshooting technical issues.
Evaluation and Assessment: Conduct evaluations and assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs. Analyze feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for program enhancements.
Talent Development Initiatives: Support the organization's talent development initiatives, such as succession planning, career development programs, and mentoring initiatives. Identify high-potential employees and provide targeted development opportunities to foster their growth.
Learning Culture Promotion: Foster a culture of continuous learning within the organization. Promote self-directed learning, knowledge sharing, and the use of innovative learning technologies and methodologies.
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in learning and development. Continuously update your knowledge and skills to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of training programs.
Proven experience in learning and development, preferably in the IT industry.
Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and learning methodologies.
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and analyze data to measure training effectiveness.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and technologies.
Experience on JIRA & Confluence tools will be an added advantage.
Candidate should have 4 to 10 years of total work experience.
Candidate should have good communication skills.
BE/B.Tech/MCA or any other technical qualifications will be preferred.
Certification in the relevant field will be an added advantage.
