Ford Motor Company is undertaking an effort to deploy SAP Production Planning (PP) and Inventory Management (IM) functionality to support Supply Chain and Manufacturing systems. This position is for an experienced SAP professional.

Responsibilities

In this position

Enterprise Technology is looking for a hands-on and highly motivated architect who can internally consult and collaborate with a global team that is developing & deploying SAP S/4HANA for Ford's core manufacturing plants. The architect will provide both business and solution architectural support to the delivery and integration teams, work with a large cross-functional team of Supply Chain IT members, Systems Integrator and software vendors, manufacturing business subject matter experts, and IT leads from numerous integrating systems. This is a hybrid position and the architect will collaborate with colleagues and teams a few days/ week in our Dearborn, MI office.

What you'll do

  • Understand the current business process across all regions / plants.
  • Understand the functionality of current Legacy Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and associated upstream and downstream systems.
  • Work with various stakeholders to study the transformation of current process / legacy systems to Industry best standards / technology/ systems.
  • Define and develop end-to-end SAP architecture, including system landscapes, integration points, data models, and technical components Recommend possible technology / process solution to address gaps.
  • Architect complex SAP landscapes, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP MRP PP and IM, SAP Fiori, and other relevant modules.
  • Collaborate with Ford's internal SAP Platform team
  • Provide models and diagrams depicting current and future state Information Technology and business landscapes.
  • Support deployment teams during SAP S/4 PP rollout across various sites globally and integrate with both legacy & other best-in-breed applications.
  • Stay current on SAP trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

    Qualifications

    You'll have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years of functional/technical experience with SAP with skills including:
  • SAP Solution Architect, SAP Business Architect or SAP Technical Lead
  • Industry process knowledge, solution expertise, consultation skills in SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Deployment experience
  • Proven guidance and expertise on SAP modules, functionalities, and configurations to support business operations
  • 2+ years of experience working in an SAP S/4 HANA environment
  • Even better, you may have

  • Experience in integrating with Siemens or Dassault PLM (or other PLM solutions), KINAXIS tools, Manufacturing Execution Systems, etc.
  • Experience in SAP PP & MM module configuration
  • Automotive industry experience or similar manufacturing industry experience.
  • Experience working in a global team and an onshore/offshore team model.
  • Experience working with a Systems Integrator
  • Overall SAP S/4 knowledge
  • SAP certifications
  • Strong project management skills with effective communication and collaboration
  • Respect and empathy for team members, business partner and product customer
  • Excellent at problem solving and prevention.
  • Knowledge of software design patterns
  • Knowledge and practical experience of agile delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver product roadmap milestones.
