About the team:

We are looking for an experienced Looker Applications Engineer to join our Business Applications team. As a member of the team, you will hold responsibility for ensuring the reliability, availability, and maintainability of our Looker infrastructure. You will work to ensure that the Looker's architecture and governance are aligned with strategic business initiatives, company goals, and the mission. This is a superb opportunity to join the team as a founding member and help drive business intelligence functions.

What you'll do day-to-day:
  • Maintaining Looker infrastructure
  • Solve infrastructure and/or system-related issues with Looker developers
  • Handling platform upgrades, Improving support documentation and implementing solutions to drive self-serve capabilities
  • Working closely with multi-functional teams such as compliance, finance, engineering and legal to drive governance and change
  • Participating in system audits and testing to ensure an environment that protects the integrity and availability of information
  • About you:
  • 3+ years working with Looker Data Visualization tools
  • Self-starter with the ability to overcome obstacles and challenges with little to no supervision
  • Proven ability with Looker administration
  • Experience working with AWS (EC2, Autoscaling, S3, RDS, EFS, IAM, Codebuild)
  • Enjoy working with support engineering teams
  • Solid grasp of web service development and architecture (SOAP/REST).
  • Familiarity with SSO and access provisioning
  • Understanding of compliance regulations and its implementation in the IT/SaaS applications space.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both engineering and non-engineering audiences
  • Passionate about elevating the customer experience
  • Brings to bear a problem-solving approach.
  • Bonus points:
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages (SQL, Python, Go, etc.)
  • Experience working with configuration management and orchestration tools (SaltStack, Ansible, Puppet, etc.), working with CICD pipelines
  • Experience working with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, etc.) and IaC platforms (Terraform)
  • AWS Certification(s) LookerML Developer or Looker Business Analyst Certification
  • Prior experience working with a fintech company

    Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. You can view comp zones for our US office locations in the table below. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
