About the team and role:

The preferred location for this position is in or around Robinhood's offices in Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, Lake Mary, FL, or Westlake, TX with in-office work capabilities, as may be required by management. Remote work in limited geographies within the U.S. may be considered.

As an AML Investigations Manager, you'll be responsible for supervising AML Investigators conducting investigations to identify and report on potentially suspicious activity. You'll also lead various program improvement initiatives including the development of new written procedures, trainings, and other material.

What you'll do day-to-day:
  • Oversee AML Investigators including day-to-day production, quality, training, and professional development
  • Assist and mentor investigators conducting complex AML and Fraud investigations
  • Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) on cases, including SAR filings
  • Conduct, review, and evaluate investigations and findings using your FinCrimes subject-matter expertise
  • Assist in developing and improving investigations-related procedures, desktop aids, and guidance material
  • Respond to requests from Robinhood's Legal Department and Law Enforcement
  • Lead various internal and cross-functional operational improvement initiatives
  • About you:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years working at a broker-dealer, MSB, or other financial institution in an AML operations role, or related consulting experience for a financial services firm
  • Subject matter knowledge of BSA requirements, regulatory expectations, and industry leading practices
  • Strong AML operations background and experience conducting a diverse range of investigations, including drafting SARs
  • Experience developing policies, procedures, and training materials
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical skills, project management ability, and strong attention to detail
  • Strong data analysis skills including the ability to analyze complex data sets for investigative purposes
  • Ability to effectively manage several priorities and adapt to a changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships
  • Resourceful, self-starter who will thrive in fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Bonus points:

  • Experience with Actimize
  • Experience working with FINRA and other regulators
  • Experience in an AML compliance role in the payments space
  • Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands.
