Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a 2023 Summer Intern Aircraft Maintenance Support Engineer. In this role, you will gain sustainment experience across the F-16, F-22, and F-35 platforms. You will plan, coordinate, direct, and/or perform engineering assignments involving specifications for, and design changes or alterations to, aircraft, engines, systems, components, and field or shop equipment. You will also investigate and analyze project requirements and operating problems and develop recommended solutions to meet company governmental safety and performance standards including Minimum Equipment List (MEL). You will evaluate, select, apply, and/or adapt engineering modifications; design or recommend new or modified parts and components; analyze reparability of parts and components; and evaluate operating data on parts, components, and systems to establish causes and to determine remedies for wear, malfunctions, or premature removals.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
